I wagged my tail as you lifted me out the car.
Are we going for a walk, Daddy? Are we going to play?
You put me down in the middle of a field.
I watched as you walked back to the car.
Are you going to get my toy, Daddy?
I watch as you drive away.
Maybe you forgot my toy and are going back to the house to get it.
So I sat down and waited.
I waited until it got dark.
Im hungry, Daddy.
I wagged my tail as every car came passed, wishing it was you.
I trust you Daddy, to come back and play with me.
Im cold Daddy. I want my blanket.
I find a bush to lie under.
Im thirsty, Daddy.
I cant sleep.
Wheres baby, Daddy? Shell hug me.
I decide to get up and try and search for you.
Its dark and Im scared.
You see, by having me as a pet, youve domesticated me.
Ive got no animal instincts left.
I wont survive on my own, Daddy.
I wonder along alone, waiting for you to come and find me.
Im so hungry, Daddy.
What have I done? Have I been bad? Was it when I peed on the carpet?
Im running along the road, Daddy. I will find you.
I trust you.
I need you to come find me, Daddy.
Im lying by the side of the road.
A car hit me, Daddy.
My legs hurt.
I feel myself slipping away.
I cant breathe anymore, Daddy.
My chest hurts.
I can taste this funny taste in my mouth.
Its the same taste I had when Milly was hurt and I tried to lick her wound better.
Im sorry Daddy.
I wont be there anymore to greet you from work.
I wont be there anymore to get you out of bed in the morning to take me for a walk.
Im sorry, Daddy. I couldnt hold on anymore.
Im gone, Daddy.
I love you.
